Description Specific responsibilities and functions include:

Our procurement team is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Buyer II. This individual will learn the skills needed to become a successful Buyer in the gaming industry. We are seeking an individual who is capable of meeting tight deadlines, handling multiple tasks, orders and projects while still delivering superior performance in a fast-paced environment.

Manage assigned materials and inventory through Epicor software to meet daily department goals & objectives.

Convert daily material demands to purchase orders with multiple suppliers based on assigned commodities.

Follow-up correspondence with suppliers and arrange on-time delivery of purchased materials.
Collaborative interactions include the following departments:  Customer Service, Operations, Engineering, Quality Control, Accounts Payable.
Completes all of the responsibilities involving routine buying processes while applying problem-solving techniques.

Maintains existing respectful relationships with suppliers and fosters new ones that are both beneficial to the suppliers and to Gary Platt Manufacturing.

Required Qualifications Minimum intermediate level experience (2-4 years) in procurement
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)Provides a high level of customer service to both external and internal customers
Self-motivatedStrong, consistent work ethic
Able to perform primary duties and multi-task with little or no supervisionCommunicates and collaborates well with others on the teamAlways maintains honesty and integrity to the highest degree
Preferred Qualifications Experience buying metal components

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

APICS CSCP certification
